The One who Wasn't There by ~xpaganangelx:iconxpaganangelx:

he's told me we can never be.
why does he agree with the world?
these words bring tears to my eyes.
why did i have to fall in love
with the one who was never there?

all my life, i've been told
that love is real
and i'll find it, be married and happy,
living happily ever after.

well, this is not a fairy tale
of princes, witches and evil.
this is my life, where nothing
is as it seems.
i hide my tears behind this smile
and i bury screams in my laughter.

so i wait for night time
to go to dream land
where i have time to breathe
to see the one who was never there.

wonderful words, yet morose; I like the imagery. goes very well with your other poem
